Our process includes cleaning with Dawn or TSP to remove dust , oils and debris. This is necessary for proper adhesion. Next we will lightly sand or degloss to remove the slick clear coat that most manufactures use. We will also fill most scratches , dings and gouges at this time. Finally we prime with BIN Shellac Primer which helps to block tannins ( red spots from the natural wood) and also provides a smooth and even surface . Have you ever seen paint peel on furniture? Proper preparation including sanding and priming helps to prevent that.
Then we coat with a very durable industrial grade Acrylic Enamel in the color of your choice.
We do not use ordinary latex paint. This industrial coating is used in commercial settings and facility management . Designed for use high traffic areas such as stairs , railings and warehouse floors it performs outstandingly in a home / office environment.
Once its complete, we will shrink wrap so the drawers are secure and/ or blanket wrap for additional protection. If you are picking up, please bring adequate blankets and straps if necessary.
